The Posture of Prayer

Within Solomon’s prayer there are several references to his physical posture (he stood, rose, spread out his hands and he even knelt). But even more striking was the posturing of his thoughts. We should of course imitate the content of a biblical prayer, but we should just as well imitate The Posture of Prayer in our thoughts. Our content in prayer changes daily, but one thing for sure, our posture must stay the same. So whether you stand, lift your hands or kneel, let’s make sure to at least imitate Solomon’s posture in thoughts.
